Everything You Need To Know About Natural Lip Filler and Lip Injection

Everything you need to know about getting lip filler!

We recommend 2 appointments for your lips at least 3 months apart. The first appointment you can expect hydration, while the second appointment you can expect volumization.

We get it, you want great lips NOW, but slow and steady always wins. Going low and slow will allow us to give you the best natural lips that are good for your type of tissue! Speaking of tissue, the type determines how your lips will fill, not how much we put in. Here is a video of the way we do lip filler!

Before Lip Injection Treatment:

  • No NSAIDS 1 week before treatment (make sure you consult your doctor if this is prescribed)

  • No alcohol 72 hours before filler

  • No caffeine the day of

  • Are you a bruiser? Try using @alastinskincare‘s Regenerating Skin Nectar on your lips a couple weeks before. Trust us, it’s a game changer and we sell it!

During Lip Filler Treatment:

  • We will educate you about everything you need to know

  • We numb you with a topical cream for about 15 minutes

  • We start small, ALWAYS. Trust us. It is very rare that we put more than a half syringe in at a time. This allows your tissue to expand naturally over time and avoids migration. We will discuss your goals at your appointment.

After Lip Filler Treatment:

  • Swelling and bruising will happen, but are less likely if you follow pre-treatment instructions

  • You can ice - 10 minutes on/10 minutes off

  • You can sleep with your head propped up on a couple of pillows to minimize swelling

  • Lots of water! Fillers work by absorbing it

  • Nothing old on your lips for 48 hours. Only clean or new lip products!

  • Try @alastinskincare‘s Post-Injection Serum. A game changer too! (we also sell it) OR our very own bruising cream for $15!

  • DON’T LOVE OR HATE it for 2 weeks. It takes time to settle and look its best!
